Tamanu Oil has long been touted as a potent skin healer. We have first hand experience to corroborate this claim.

Odiferous, thick and a beautiful, dark bluish green, Tamanu absorbs well into the skin, calming redness and often clearing stubborn skin conditions like acne, rosacea acne, psoraisis and eczema. It is also an excellent oil treatement for scalp and hair.

After two years of desperately searching for an answer to her own painful and relentless rosacea acne, our founder tried this Tamanu oil and her skin cleared up completely in only a few days. She hasn't had another flare up since. Tamanu is often called "green gold", but we call it the "green miracle".

Everyone's skin responds differently but we feel that no rosacea arsenal is complete without Tamanu.

What you need to know:
Tamanu has a very particular scent. It is nutty and slightly smokey. It is thick and dark green, but absorbs quite well into the skin. If you are concerned about transfer (especially with face masks), use it at night, or give it time to absorb in the morning before applying makeup or putting a mask on. If it feels too thick for you, you can combine it with our Maracuja+Calendula oil or apply to damp skin to make it more spreadable.

If you are trying Tamanu for a specific skin issue, we recommend applying it 2-3 times a day. You can use as little or as much as you like with 4-6 drops being a good starting point.

Always do a patch test, especially if your skin is very sensitive or reactive.

As a hair and scalp treatment:
Apply Tamanu to the scalp and massage it in, if you wish you can coat all of your hair with the oil as well. Let it sit as long as you like, even overnight (but wrap your hair so you don't stain your pillows) and simply shampoo out when you're ready. Your scalp will be nourished and hair will be super soft.
